Accessibility for the website saunaregion.fi

The accessibility status of the online service

The website saunaregion.fi is partially compliant with accessibility requirements.
The Lakeland – Jyväskylän Region project administered by Visit Jyväskylä is committed to ensuring the accessibility of its websites as stipulated by the Act on the Provision of Digital Services. The website will be completely redeveloped in 2020. The first version of the new, fully accessible website will be made available in December 2020.

The present website was published in 2016, and fixing some of the accessibility issues detailed below on the present website would be prohibitively expensive to the organization. Those issues will be remedied on the new website in December 2020.

• HTML code used to present content
• Non-accessible content and description of the deficiency: The site includes e.g. embedded iframes with a defined size (for browser interoperability). This accessibility issue will be remedied on the new website in December 2020.

• Accessibility requirements that are not met: 1.3.1 Info and Relationships
• Checkbox with no label
• Non-accessible content and description of the deficiency: The website contains image gallery elements which can be scrolled forwards and backwards by pressing ball-shaped elements. These checkboxes lack labels. This accessibility issue will be remedied on the new website in December 2020.

• Accessibility requirements that are not met: 1.3.1 Info and Relationships
• Links only identifiable by colour
• Non-accessible content and description of the deficiency: The front page of the website includes links identifiable only by colour. This accessibility issue will be remedied at the latest on the new website in December 2020.

• Accessibility requirements that are not met: 1.4.1 Use of Colour
• Header missing text
• Non-accessible content and description of the deficiency: There are sections of the website with blank carriage returns using header formatting, i.e. headers with no text. These issues are being remedied on an ongoing basis. These accessibility issues will be fully remedied at the latest on the new website in December 2020.

Other online services

• On our social media channels, we take accessibility into account as far as can be provided for by each respective channel.
• Our YouTube channel contains video content published prior to 23 September 2020. Some of this video content is missing subtitles and/or video/audio description. The Act does not require for video content produced before 23 September 2020 to be retroactively made accessible or deleted.
