Alvar Aalto locations

The Jyväskylä Region is home to many buildings designed by the legendary architect Alvar Aalto, from his earliest works through to achievements in the latter stages of his career. In the master architect’s footsteps we travel from classicism to functionalism, from brick architecture to monumentalism. Aalto’s designs can be seen quickly on a tour of the town, or studied more closely in the company of a knowledgeable guide. Guide bookings can be made at Tourist Information. At the Jyväskylä Region Tourist Office, you can buy a brochure about sites designed by Alvar Aalto.
