Leivonmäki National Park, Joutsniemi. Production: Eemeli Nättinen / Aistikko Visuals
The best known natural attraction in Leivonmäki National Park is undoubtedly Joutsniemi, a narrow spit of land 1.5 kilometres in length shaped by the Ice Age. It can be admired from the easily walked track which departs from the Selänpohja parking area and terminates at the peninsular's tip. The path is at its most beautiful in summer and autumn and features along its length a lean-to shelter and a beach for swimming among other things.
In addition to fine forest and lake scenery Leivonmäki National Park possesses extensive bogland areas and fascinating duckboard nature trails. The video was made on the Kirveslampi circuit, which starts at the Kirveslampi parking area.
