Marathon Relay is a sociable running event for workplace communities, associations, informal groups, etc. The Marathon Relay is run in 5-kilometre stints. A team consists of 4–8 runners, male, female or mixed. The team determines how many stints each runner completes.
Start Friday 13th September at 17.30.
Finland Walk is an exercise event with a low entry barrier intended for all who are interested in physical exercise and walking. Warm-up and the recovery bag distributed to all finishers is the same as for the marathon runners except that their is no timing in the Finlandia Walk. (A large clock is provided at the finish for those who want to know their time.) The Finlandia Walk offers an excellent introduction to the spirit of a major sports event together with co-workers or friends. Those entering on their own are also sure to find like-minded company.
Start Friday 13th September at 18.00.
10K Evening Run
The late start, the darkening autumn evening and the shimmer of city lights on the lakefront route create a unique atmosphere. To foster a sense of community, there will be a wide range of music and light effects at the event centre and along the course.
Start Friday 13th September at 20.00.
The flat and beautiful Rantaraitti lakefront route is ideal for those taking part in their first full marathon. A fast route with few sharp turns, it offers an opportunity to improve your record if you have run a full marathon previously. The start times and common route of the full and half marathons ensure that there will be no lack of of company and pacemakers along the route.
Start Saturday 14th September at 12.00
While a half marathon is tough enough as a objective, it is nothing unattainable for those who engage in regular exercise. A warm-up and start with 2,000 participants will put you in the mood of a major event.
