Rillankivi is a natural boulder that has marked the boundary between three municipalities and three regions – North Savonia, Central Finland and North Ostrobothnia – for centuries and is preserved by the National Board of Antiquities. The nature trail meanders along the ridge south of Rillankivi for some 5 kilometres.

Average hiking time:
Allow 2-3 hours to complete the trail. The trail has some differences in elevation.
Blue paint markings and signposts indicate the route. Signposting along the route is in a poor state of repair.
In dry weather, regular outdoor shoes are suitable. In wet weather, we recommend waterproof footwear.
Rest areas, lean-to shelters, etc.:
There are information boards on the three municipalities, a lean-to shelter, campfire site and dry toilet near Rillankivi.
