Rugged cliffs, lush forests and pure lake water. This all describes the nature of Finland’s longest lake – Lake Päijänne. Now, while enjoying the nature, you can also set off on a golf tour around Päijänne. This five-night and six-day package offers golf lovers an opportunity to try five different golf courses and test own skills with ninety holes in total.
Having arrived to Helsinki-Vantaa Airport, you have more than one option of car rental services. Among rental cars there are good alternatives, which have space for your own golf bag. The trip begins from the southern part of Päijänne, where the accommodation is arranged in a holiday centre Lehmonkärki. Lehmonkärki cottages have all modern conveniences needed for a perfect getaway. While staying here, you can also try delicious local food and book a dinner for two.
In the morning, the program starts at the golf field of Kanava (in English ‘canal’) golf club located in about 20 minutes from the holiday centre. As the name suggests, it is indeed located by a canal called Vääksy. From Kanavagolf the trip continues towards the western part of Päijänne, to Himos Holiday Centre. This tourist area offers a wide range of services – from different types of saunas and restaurants to amazing places for hiking, which might be a good addition to the program, if there is still some energy left after the game.
In the morning, the program starts at the Himos Golf course, which has become largely popular among golfers. Here you can play golf in unique surroundings, near the slopes of Himos. At the end of the day, you can test own skills at the northern part of the range. Having played the whole day, you can relax in warm Spa pools in the Spa Hotel Peurunka. In addition to that, we recommend you trying different saunas and Peurunka Spa treatments.
Peurunka Golf is located on the other side of Lake Peurunka. Situated in such a beautiful location, Peurunka Golf claims to be Finland’s most beautiful golf field. It offers challenging parts for experienced players and it is also suitable for beginners. After a day golfing in Peurunka, the trip continues to the Holiday Centre Revontuli, which provides accommodation in a double room. The accommodation prices include also the use of a hotel sauna. In addition to the hotel sauna, we recommend you trying a traditional Finnish smoke sauna or tent sauna with its soft heat (optional)-
Next day take on a challenge of conquering Revontuli golf field located by Lake Iso-Virmas.
In the evening, you arrive to Hartola, to the charming Linna Hotel, where you can have
a relaxing sauna. The package also includes a dinner. Linnahotel´s novelty is a neurosonic
treatment which relaxes you muscles after a physically strenuous day-
Next day begins with breakfast and after that the activating neurosonic treatment will
prepare you to the golf course. After the play you will have the restorative neurosonic
treatment and lunch. In the evening, the trip back home begins.
During this trip, you get to try five great golf places as well as various treatments, which help
to relax and recover, offered at the best holiday centers and destinations in the area.
We wish you a pleasant golf tour around Lake Päijänne!
