Hyyppäänvuori Hill is located by Lake Lievestuore in Laukaa some 40 minutes drive from the centre of Jyväskylä.
The summit, which is 170 metres high, offers a splendid view of the lake and its islands. It is not for nothing that Hyppäänvuori Hill is called the ‘Koli of Central Finland’ in reference to the famous viewing point near Joensuu. Hyyppäänvuori also includes a shingle beach and sheer cliffs in which there is a cave system formed during the Ice Age.
The terrain is demanding because the hillsides are steep and very slippery when wet. The site is not suitable for people with mobility issues.
In terms of its geology, landscapes, flora and fauna, the hill is a valuable natural asset and part of the Natura 2000 conservation area. Respect the environment and keep to the paths where possible.
Campfires are not allowed.
