Sauna Region Week will be celebrated again in the summer of 2025, and this time bigger than ever before! In the summer of 2025, Sauna Region Week will heat up saunas from June 6th to June 15th, 2025. The World’s Sauna Region warmly welcomes you to experience the gentle steam of Jyväskylä Region’s diverse saunas.

    During Sauna Week, the Sauna Trail’s smoke sauna, tent sauna and outdoor hot tub will be heated. The sauna is a mixed sauna, so please bring a swimsuit and your own towel. You can borrow slippers from the sauna and if necessary hire swimming suits and towels for €5/each. The smoke sauna has separate changing and shower facilities for men and women. The sauna fee can be payed at the Revontule reception before the event. Bringing your own drinks to the sauna area is not allowed. Water will be provided and non-alcoholic and light alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.

  • Piispala

    Open traditional sauna, price 10€/person. Payment at the reception before the event. The sauna is a mixed sauna, so please bring your own towel. The use of the changing room is rotated between the sauna users. The sauna is a traditional sauna with no running water. Drinking water is available at the nearby building. No personal alcoholic beverages are allowed.

  • Nukula

    The wood-fired log sauna offers gentle baths. In between baths, you can take a dip in the Päijänne lake to cool off. The sauna can accommodate 6-8 people at a time. The sauna is a mixed sauna, so please bring a bathing suit and a towel. The maximum number of participants in the morning sauna is 15, so please reserve your place in advance. The sauna is non-alcoholic. In addition to the sauna, the price includes fresh spring water, a sausage for grilling and a crêpe.

  • Varjola

    During the Sauna Region Week, Varjola heats up the smoke sauna and the hot tub on the terrace. If you wish, you can also take a dip in the lake. The sauna is a mixed sauna, so please bring a swimsuit. Basic cleaning products, towels and peflets can be found in the sauna. The use of the shower facilities is shared between the sauna users on a rotating basis. Sauna time is 2 hours. The sauna facilities are a licensed area, so it is not allowed to bring your own alcoholic beverages. It is possible to buy refreshments from the restaurant to take with you to the sauna (cash and card).

  • Tupaswilla

    A guided peat sauna relaxes the body and mind. If you wish, you can take a dip in the nearby pond. You will need a towel, a water bottle and footwear for the dock. To avoid congestion, starting times are staggered. Price 30€, includes a snack after the sauna. Sign up: [email protected]

  • Haikusauna

    Mixed sauna at 5pm – 10pm, please bring a swimsuit. The beach and campfire is at the disposal of the sauna users. Price 18€/person, payment with cash, mobilepay or bank transfer. The cafe is open at 5pm-8pm.

  • Karkausmäen Kammari

    The sauna heats up from 4pm. Enjoy the nurturing power of peat, take a dip in Lake Karkausjärvi and relax in the warm hot tub. Bring your own towel and a water bottle if you wish. Price 45€/person. In between the sauna, you can taste the flavours of Sydänmaa.
