Welcome Reception<\/h1>
\n

A get-together for conference participants in the first evening is a nice way of tuning into the congress mood. Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4 offers a number of opportunities for events of all sizes. Often, the get-together takes place at the meeting venue or hotel.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/section>\n\n\n\n

City reception<\/h2>
\n

The City of Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4 offers select conference a reception in a mutually agreed place, usually the City’s own premises, such as the City Hall. The cocktail event includes raising a toast and having some snacks \u2013 larger receptions also feature programme.<\/p>\n

The City’s hospitality needs to be applied for. Receptions during the following year can be applied for starting in the summer, and at the university the Rector chooses the applications to be supported. Follow up the university’s internal bulletins indicating the deadlines.<\/p>\n

In 2025 and 2026, the city reception for the conferences will not be organised due to the reduction of the city’s expenditure.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/section>\n\n\n\n\n

Welcome reception in Hotel Alba<\/h2>
\n

Kick-start your conference with a welcome reception. Hotel Alba is the most convenient venue for conferences arranged in the Agora building and on the Ylist\u00f6nm\u00e4ki campus.<\/p>\n

Welcome reception in Restaurant Harald<\/h2>
\n

Restaurant Harald takes you to the middle of the Viking Age, food and drinks being the highlights of the fest. The Harald Village serves hearty dishes made from the best products of the northern nature. Some of these dishes are served on a sword or a shield in accordance with the Viking spirit. You are more than welcome to visit Harald even with a larger group to be served and a memorable welcome party will succeed in a relaxed and warm atmosphere.<\/p>\n

The restaurant is centrally located in the centre of Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4 on the Kauppakatu and is open from Monday to Sunday.<\/p>\n

Capacity: There are 150 customer seatings in the restaurant that are divided up into a dining room and two cabinets.<\/p>\n
