Arrival in Jyväskylä
Jyväskylä is a city located in Central Finland, whose central location makes it an excellent venue for congresses and conferences. The city is easily accessible from different parts of Finland and abroad.
By train and bus
Jyväskylä can be reached several times a day by train and bus from Helsinki, Helsinki-Vantaa Airport, and Tampere, for example.
The journey from Helsinki takes about 3.5 hours, and from Tampere about 2 hours.

Jyväskylä Travel Center is located in the city center, from where it is easy to continue your journey by local bus, taxi, or on foot.
By plane
Jyväskylä Airport is located in Tikkakoski, about 20 minutes from the city center.
- Finnair flies from Helsinki-Vantaa to Jyväskylä from January to June and from August to December.
- The flight from Helsinki-Vantaa takes 50 minutes.

- There is no public transport from Tikkakoski Airport to the city center – taxis must be booked in advance by calling +358 100 6900.
- The congress organizer can also book bus transportation directly from Helsinki-Vantaa to Jyväskylä.
- Tampere Airport is the closest international airport, served by AirBaltic. From there, you can reach Jyväskylä by train or bus.
By car and water
- You can also arrive in Jyväskylä by car or rental car. There are several international rental companies operating in the city.
- Lake Päijänne also allows you to arrive by water.
