Keski-Suomessa, maailman Saunamaakunnassa, vierailijaa tervehtivät sykähdyttävä järviluonto, urbaani kaupunkikulttuuri ja kolme Unescon maailmanperintökohdetta. Alueen neljä kansallispuistoa ovat kuin Suomen luonto pienoiskoossa. Keski-Suomen keskuskaupungista Jyväskylästä löytyy myös maailman eniten Alvar Aallon arkkitehtuuria. Alueen tuhannet tapahtumat viihdyttävät ympäri vuoden. Erityisinä tapahtumakeskuksina toimivat Jyväskylä ja Himos-Jämsä.

Did you know that the Jyväskylä Region is home to three of Finland's eight UNESCO World Heritage Sites? 🌍💙

Together, these offer five UNESCO-listed places to visit: the Aalto Campus at the University of Jyväskylä, Säynätsalo Town Hall and the Muuratsalo Experimental House, all part of the UNESCO-listed Aalto Works ensemble, as well as Petäjävesi Old Church and the Oravivuori triangulation point, part of the Struve Geodetic Arc.

Interested in visiting the UNESCO sites? A special day tour on 8 August offers an easy way to visit three of these UNESCO-listed destinations in one day. The guiding is in Finnish, but international visitors are also welcome to join and enjoy the unique architecture, landscapes and cultural heritage along the route.
