Operating on weekends during the summer season, Outdoor Express provides a fast connection from downtown Jyväskylä to Pyhä-Häkki National Park. The bus runs through downtown Saarijärvi, where you can also board.

Pyhä-Häkki is known for its ancient forests and beautiful peatland areas. This national park located in Saarijärvi offers over 20 kilometers of well-marked and easy-to-walk routes. A recommended day trip route is the Kotajärvi trail, 6.5 km, which goes through ancient forests to the Big Tree and leads back to the parking area via a campfire site. Shorter options are the Mastomäki trail, 3.2 km, and the Riihinevan trail, 1.2 km.
