Moving around
In the Jyväskylä Region, it is easy to move around with your own car or with a rental one. There are convenient train connections and long distance buses in between some of the region’s municipalities and cities.
In Jyväskylä you can move around easily on foot, by bike, by bus or with your own car. The city centre is easily perceived between Jyväsjärvi Lake and the Harju ridge. From the city centre, it is easy to take off to all directions with different means of transport. The best place to find a local bus to take you out of the city centre is in front of the Forum Mall on Vapaudenkatu street. If you want to travel further away from the centre, you should take the bus and railway station at the Travel Centre as your starting point.

On summer weekends, Outdoor Express busses will take you from the Jyväskylä city centre to the national parks of Leivonmäki, Pyhä-Häkki, and Southern Konnevesi.
