THE LUTAKON LIPPA 2026 PROGRAM IS READY AND ON SALE!
BLOODRED HOURGLASS, SAMULI PUTRO, TRIO NISKALAUKAUS, YONA, COSTEE AND OTHERS WILL BE SEEN IN AUGUST AT OUTDOOR CONCERTS IN THE YARD OF LUTAKKO
The Jyväskylä concert sky under the shadow of the impressive tent of the Dance Hall Lutakko will be celebrated again on August 12-16 under the title Lutakko Tent. The full lineup of five evenings and twelve artists has now been published, and advance tickets for the concerts are on sale at www.jelmu.net and www.lippu.fi/lutakonlippalive
On the opening night, Wednesday, August 12, the main performer of the evening will be Bloodred Hourglass, which has sold out its two latest Lutakko concerts and now it’s time to step onto a larger stage that can attract a bigger audience. Bloodred Hourglass has earned its place in the forefront of domestic metal through hard work, determination and exceptional songwriting skills. The album “How’s The Heart” (2023) marked the band’s big breakthrough, and last year’s release “We Should Be Buried Like This” further consolidated its popularity not only in Finland but also elsewhere in Europe. Opening the Wednesday evening of the Lutakko Tent and the entire Tent week is the act of modern metal Rioghan, which also contains Central Finnish elements.
Samuli Putro will be seen in the spring at the biggest concert of his career at the Helsinki Ice Hall, but life continues after that, including at the Lutakko Tent on Thursday, August 13. Putro’s recent history also includes several sold-out Lutakko concerts, so there is demand, and even more so at the Tent, as the evening is opened by Josén Pimeä Puoli.
On Friday, August 14, we return to the heavier side of things. To start the evening, Peer Günt brings its 50th anniversary tour to Jyväskylä. On top of that, Timo Rautiainen & Trio Niskalaukaus will twist the necks at their home field. This is a classic evening that will be remembered for a long time, as long as the hand with the liquor doesn’t get too hot.
More Jyväskylä colors are in store on Saturday, August 15, when Yona is seen in a band concert in her hometown for the first time in a long time. The artistically ambitious and versatile artist closes the evening, which also features Asla Jo, who has just filled the Black Threshold with her debut album tour, as well as the opener Orvokki.
The main performer of the Lutakko Tent week’s closing day, the big-hearted costee, has established a place in the hearts of the Jyväskylä audience. For the four previous years, costee has been seen at Lutakko four times, and each time the Lutakko hall has been full to the last ticket. The spot as the closing act on Sunday, August 16, is well deserved. Aliisa Syrjä, known for millions of streams, will also perform, and the evening will be opened by Jemina, who is known for, among other things, the joint song Epäreilu Maailma with costee and the even more widely listened hit Ylpee.
It is good to copy a brief historical review from last year’s Tent announcement at the end of this announcement: The Lutakko Tent was born in the first corona summer to meet people’s hunger for live music, at a time when almost all summer events had been canceled and when the safety distance recommendations were more spacious outdoors than indoors. To meet this need, the Jyväskylä Live Music Association Jelmu ry began to organize concerts in the yard of the Dance Hall Lutakko, under the tent-like canopy above the loading dock at the end of the building, and in immediate proximity. The popular event was hoped to continue even after the normalization of circumstances, and it has indeed remained, offering the opportunity to see even big artists in a slightly more intimate performance environment towards the end of the summer festival season.
