Kesälaitumilla-concert takes the listener to the atmosphere of the Finnish early summer. The concert will feature Finnish summer choral music and parts of Sibelius’ festive and dignified promotion cantata. Many of the compositions heard in the concert have been inspired by the summer meadows and the flourishing of nature. The works alternate between sensitivity and stronger expression. From the midst of the flower glory of the meadow, a glimpse of playfulness can also be encountered in the music.
The Jyväskylä Chamber Choir consists of about twenty music enthusiasts and professionals. The choir’s repertoire consists of classical music, ranging from the Renaissance to the present day. The choir works in close cooperation with the Jyväskylä parish, and its home church is Taulumäki Church. The artistic director of the choir is Matias Lahti. Admission fee at the door 10€. Free admission.
