This August Saturday provides a great opportunity to dress up in a national costume or in a piece of one and head out to enjoy the unique atmosphere of the Pienmäki Farm Buildings Museum. The programme includes folk dancing by the ISOn Tanhuujat Folk Dance Association. Counsellor of local heritage Ulla Kolehmainen tells how and from where the hardwood trees that grow in Pienmäki once ended up on a farm in Central Finland.
The delicacies of the Hankasalmi’s Martta Association’s café crown the afternoon. Visitors can buy delicious home-made baked goods from the café.
The museum is open from 11 am to 5 pm.
Free entrance.
