Explore artists and art venues, learn new things on guided tours of our cultural environment, experience film, dance, literary arts and make things yourself. The opening of the Taidekatu (Art Street) autumn season is being organised by a large number of independent art field actors and individual artists as well as the City of Jyväskylä and the University of Jyväskylä.
Jyväskylä’s Taidekatu runs from Kirkkopuisto to the Aalto2 museum centre over a distance of approximately 1.2 km, spanning a few blocks. Along the Taidekatu you will find close to a hundred different art and culture sites. The map service at www.jyvaskylantaidekatu.fi, the homepage of this website, allows you to explore the sites by theme, which are architecture, art & design, with a dog, for the whole family, the Athens of Finland, eat & drink, and events.
The programme will be completed by the end of August.
