What if annoyance was not just a tolerable by-product of everyday life, but a shared force, a source of creativity, and a catalyst for change?

Annoyed Evenings is a participatory and entertaining 1.5-hour event by Teatterikone, combining theatre, music, expertise, and shared experiences of the audience. The event is facilitated by Teatterikone’s Artistic Director Annu Sankilampi, who guides the whole with a relaxed and present approach. The music is provided by actor Aaro Vuotila, who composes and performs annoyance songs on the spot based on topics provided by the audience. During the evening, the Annoyance Doctors also take the stage: psychologist Tero Mäki and work supervisor Kirsti Vänskä. They bring in research-based knowledge and new perspectives in 3-5 minute information segments.

The information segments cover topics such as:
The basics of emotions – what emotions are and from which basic emotions annoyance is built.
Annoyance as a resource – nothing changes if you don’t get annoyed. How irritation acts as a boundary setter and engine of change.
Creativity and productivity – can annoyance be a generator of new ideas and a tool for coping?

At the Annoyed Evenings, art meets everyday experiences, and academic knowledge collides with shared laughter. It offers the audience identification, insights, and a light but meaningful way to handle current emotions. Annoyance, what a brilliant reason to come together!
