Puutio depicts scenes of nature in his works. “Instead of precisely describing the subject of my nature observations, I aim to capture the impression of light and the nuances of colors. The starting point for my paintings are my own nature observations and the experiences evoked by the natural environment,” the artist states.
Puutio has held several solo exhibitions over the past fifteen years. His works have been selected for international watercolor art exhibitions in Estonia, Denmark, Germany, Italy, and Spain. Currently, his works are also on display at the Emil Cedercreutz Museum in Harjavalta.
