Myllykoski conservation area

Myllytie 40, 19650 Joutsa

The Myllykoski conservation area offers a soothing nature experience right next to the Joutsa village center. Myllykoski has several streams with bridges built over them. You can walk past the wetlands on boardwalks. The route starts next to the old red mill building. Myllykoski is an excellent bird-watching spot, as the rapids and Myllynlahti remain unfrozen all year round. From the birdwatching tower at the mouth of the rapids, visitors can observe the spring and autumn bird migrations.
