La Kala – the Central Finland Chamber Opera

The La Kala chamber opera house is located in a stunningly beautiful landscape surrounded by two lakes, in Sumiainen, Central Finland. Acoustics at La Kala are glorious, and the building can seat up to 100 guests. We perform a wide range of music including everything from opera, musicals and jazz to church music, contemporary classical and all the best loved evergreens. At La Kala, we are know for the quality of our performances, both musically and visually. All our productions are the work of Marie Finne-Bray and Piers Bray. You can also catch us at Keitele Museum’s Engine Shed venue, at Sumiainen Church and the Jyväskylän Kesä summer event. We are also available for private commissions.
