Kartano Kultaranta is located in Saarijärvi, on the historic footprints of Stone Age settlements. Summanen is one of Finland’s few crater lakes, and the impact site of a meteorite from space lies in the middle of the lake. Just a short walk away, Haikankärki is part of a sandy ridge shaped by the aftermath of the Ice Age, stretching across the crater basin. When you walk, swim, or fish there, you can truly say you are next to an extraterrestrial crater.

Natural sandy beach and sauna experiences
Kartano Kultaranta boasts over 250 meters of natural sandy shoreline. You can swim directly from the beach or enjoy the warmth of the sauna and hot tub before taking a dip.

Our year-round cottages offer space for about 20 guests, with extra beds available upon request:

Kotala: 12 persons
Huvitus: 4 (+2) persons
Mesimarja: 4 persons

Kotala and Huvitus are located at Kultaranta, while Mesimarja sits on the opposite shore, separate from the other cottages (approx. 800 m by water, 8 km by car). All our cottages are allergy-friendly, so pets are unfortunately not allowed.

You can also book saunas, the hot tub, and the kota hut for a complete experience in nature’s tranquility. If you wish, rent a boat for fishing or leisure trips on the lake. Our rental selection includes rowing boats, small motorboats, canoes, SUP boards, and water toys. Life jackets for adults and children are included, and fishing permits are available directly from us.
