Saarijärvi Museum

The Saarijärvi Museum of Art and Cultural History is the information bank for its area, organising special exhibitions in its main building throughout the year. In addition, the museum has a summer exhibition site in the Stone Age village and is also responsible for the exhibition activities and collections of the Tapperien Juhola.

A permanent exhibition of Saarijärvi’s visual arts and the Sculpture Park in the museum’s courtyard showcase the main artists of the area. The museum’s courtyard also features a traditional garden, a restored meadow and summer pond on the beach. A visit to Toivi Järvinen’s art house can be reserved for groups. The museum shop offers local information and timeless gifts.
