The wilderness of Pihlaiset calls again this summer on 22-23.8.2026, as the Keuruu Pihlajävesi Wilderness Days are organized for the seventh time.
As is traditional, on Saturday there will be guided tours and on Sunday you can enjoy the scenery by hiking independently. When walking the routes, it is also worth stopping to examine the information boards that present the history and special features of the natural and cultural sites of Pihlaiset. In addition, you can get acquainted with the history of the area through several exhibitions open during the event weekend.
You can purchase your hiking provisions along the routes or pick them up in your backpack from the kiosk-café Kauppala.
During the event weekend, you can also easily pedal to the routes by bike or alternatively enjoy the waves of Pihlaiset by canoe or kayak. Canoe rental is handled by Eräopas Jokela.
