This two-day park festival offers outstanding live performances alongside high-quality, original food and drink concepts. Focused on pop, rap, and indie music, the event brings around ten top artists to Lounaispuisto in Jyväskylä. At the heart of the festival’s playful area programme is the Hupiniemi Experience Park, which became a great success last year and provides engaging experiences throughout both evenings.
On Thursday, 2 July, Puistojuhlat features J. Karjalainen, who opens his summer tour at Lounaispuisto. Having begun his recording career in 1981, Karjalainen is one of the most significant singer-songwriters in Finnish popular music. Thursday evening is also a celebration of distinctive and exceptional songwriters, with emma & matilda and Maustetytöt taking the stage.
On Friday, 3 July, Puistojuhlat presents a mix of Finnish rock, indie, and rap. The line-up includes the high-energy Ursus Factory, Jyväskylä-born artist and producer Aaro630, new-wave singer-songwriter helmi marleena, the genre-defying keiju, and the night’s finale, MELO, who will appear at Puistojuhlat for his only Jyväskylä performance of the summer.
Puistojuhlat takes place at Lounaispuisto, located in Jyväskylä’s Upper Town. Atmospheric and rich in cultural history, Lounaispuisto has been known as a celebration park since the 1880s.
Tickets are available for either one or both days. Welcome to a summer evening as dusk falls over Lounaispuisto!
