Are you interested in manga? Welcome to the One Piece Book Club that is open to everyone!
One Piece (East Blue saga) is one of the most popular and best-selling manga series in the world. The pirate adventure created by Eiichiro Oda has inspired both a acclaimed anime and a live-action Netflix adaptation.
The book club meets on Tuesdays from 6-7:30 PM in the Multi-Purpose Room (3rd floor) of the Main Library. The Book Club is led by Keski-Suomen Sarjakuvaseura (Central Finland Comics Association).
In the book club, we will read the first 11 parts of One Piece and have casual discussions about the books.
Meeting dates and books to be read:
September 22 – Parts 1-3
October 20 – Parts 4-6
November 17 – Parts 7-8
December 15 – Parts 9-11
You don’t need to sign up for the book club. You can join even if you haven’t read the book. You can participate just once if you like.
You can reserve the book club books through the online library at keski.finna.fi. If the book is not available in Jyväskylä but is available at other Central Library locations, remember to select the regional reservation option.
