In Korpilahti, you walk along a path up to the top of Oravivuori Hill to the measurement tower of the Struve Geodetic Arc. The Struve Arc represents the cultural heritage of science and technology. The measurement point is related to the determination of the size and shape of the Earth made in the 19th century. From the top, there is a stunning view of the lake and forest landscape of Central Finland. The length of the route is two kilometers.

At the main campus of the University of Jyväskylä, you will get acquainted with the 1950s architecture of Alvar Aalto. The campus area is part of the national Aalto Works World Heritage nomination. The 13 sites involved play a significant role in the traditions of international modernism and design. The World Heritage process will be resolved in July. The buildings will be explored from the outside.
