LUTAKON LIPPA 2026 PROGRAM IS READY AND ON SALE!
BLOODRED HOURGLASS, SAMULI PUTRO, TRIO NISKALAUKAUS, YONA, COSTEE AND OTHERS WILL BE SEEN IN OUTDOOR CONCERTS IN THE YARD OF LUTAKKO IN AUGUST
The concert heaven of Jyväskylä, under the shadow of the impressive canopy of the Tanssisali Lutakko building, will be celebrated again on August 12-16 under the heading Lutakko Lippa. The full lineup of five evenings and twelve artists has now been published, and advance tickets for the concerts are on sale at www.jelmu.net and www.lippu.fi/lutakonlippalive
On the opening night, Wednesday, August 12, the headliner of the evening will be Bloodred Hourglass, which has sold out its two most recent concerts at Lutakko, and now it’s time to take the stage to a larger audience inside Lutakko. Bloodred Hourglass has earned its place in the front row of Finnish metal through hard work, determination and exceptional songwriting skills. The album “How’s The Heart” (2023) marked the band’s major breakthrough, and last year’s release “We Should Be Buried Like This” further consolidated their popularity not only in Finland but also elsewhere in Europe. The Wednesday evening of the Lutakko Lippa and the entire Lippa week will be opened by the act of modern metal Rioghan, which also contains a touch of Central Finnish color.
Samuli Putro will be seen in the spring on the largest concert of his career at the Helsinki Ice Hall, but life goes on after that, including at the Lutakko Lippa on Thursday, August 13. Putro’s recent history also includes several sold-out concerts at Lutakko, so there is plenty of demand, and even more so at the Lippa, as the evening is opened by Josén Pimeä Puoli.
On Friday, August 14, we return to the heavier sound. To start the evening, Peer Günt brings its 50th anniversary tour to Jyväskylä. On top of that, Timo Rautiainen & Trio Niskalaukaus will bring the necks into knots on their home turf. This will be a classic evening that will be remembered for a long time, as long as the hand with the strong drink doesn’t get too hot.
More Jyväskylä color is coming on Saturday, August 15, when Yona is seen in a band concert in her hometown for the first time in a long time. The artistically ambitious and versatile artist will conclude the evening, which will also feature Asla Jo, who has just filled Musta Kynnyys on the tour of her debut album Papin Tytär, and the evening opener Orvokki.
The headliner of the final day of the Lutakko Lippa week, the big emotion costee, has established a place in the hearts of the Jyväskylä audience. For the four previous years, costee has been seen at Lutakko four times, and each time the Lutakko hall has been full to the last ticket. The place as the closing act of the Lippa on Sunday, August 16, is at least deserved. Aliisa Syrjä, with millions of streams, will also perform, and the evening will be opened by Jemina, who is known for the joint song Epäreilu Maailma with costee and even more for her hit Ylpee, which has gathered even more listeners.
It is good to copy a brief historical review from last year’s Lippa press release at the end of this announcement: Lutakko Lippa was born in the first corona summer to respond to people’s hunger for live music, at a time when almost all summer events had been cancelled and when there were more spacious safety distances outdoors than indoors. To meet this need, the Jyväskylä Live Music Association Jelmu ry began to organize concerts in the yard of the Tanssisali Lutakko, under the canopy-like roof over the loading dock at the end of the building. The popular event was hoped to continue once the conditions had normalized, and it has indeed remained, offering the opportunity to see even big artists in a slightly more intimate performance environment towards the end of the festival season filled with big stages.
