Welcome to enjoy danceable burlesque in rainbow atmospheres under the guidance of Jyväskylä-based queerlesque artist and burlesque professional Rosetta Sweet. In this open-level class, we will create an easy, energetic danceable burlesque choreography where we glide lightly and joyfully between more feminine and more masculine expression. All are welcome who want to enjoy the joy of burlesque in a safe and permissive environment.

Have you ever wondered what drag, burlesque, and the great outdoors have in common? Why it’s camp of course! Come to our bug-free, definitely-indoors venue to learn what makes camp a cornerstone to drag and burlesque and how to utilize it to make your art pop! Screw the birds and the bees! It’s time to talk absurdity, expression, and character. Your instructor is none other than Rin – a widely acknowledged campy “lil guy”. They love nothing more than to subvert audience expectations and play with cultural references. So come spend a little time to learn about camp and how this queer aesthetic can pump up your art. (Being a performer/artist is not required, all levels and abilities are welcome. If you’re just a curious person and want to learn about camp, you too are welcome!)
