Eero Lintusaari has worked as a jewellery artist since the late 1980s, and his works move on the borderline between art and life. The Layers exhibition at the Craft Museum of Finlandbrings together Lintusaari’s decades-long career, in which material, form and meaning are intertwined.
In Lintusaari’s art, the jewellery can carry multiple layers, such as memories, meanings and statements. For him, jewellery is not just an ornament, but an object that carries meaning. Sometimes it is beautiful, but often it is also contradictory and thought-provoking.
