I’am Parvin (Peri) Eshghi, an architect and painter living and working in Jyväskylä, Finland.
My artistic journey in Finland began in 2017 at the Jyväskylä Art Museum, where I created quick portraits as part of artist Helena Ratinen’s Aunt Monika project. In 2023, I made a conscious professional decision to leave architecture and become a full-time visual artist.

My latest exhibition,Defiant Blurred Faces, consists of expressive acrylic and charcoal portraits in which realism and abstract expression merge with an architect’s sense of space. In my work, I also explore the visual effects of health challenges, particularly double and blurred vision (Double Vision), transforming this experience into a powerful artistic language. The defiant gaze in my portraits represents a humanity that refuses to yield.
