An air of history

Hotel Hirvi’s pink functionalist building has seen many changes over its eight decades. The hotel was built in 1938 as a base of operations for bus operator Eelis Hirvi’s business, additionally incorporating a small inn on one of its floors. In 1949 a new wing was built to house a cinema. In the 1980s the building was enlarged to its current three-story size. Despite the several changes, Hotel Hirvi remains a unique point of interest in Äänekoski.

Today, Hirvi is a place for pleasant accommodations, diverse conference services, and a high-quality cinema experience. Hirvi is a legend in Äänekoski.
