Savutuvan Apaja is a wonderful setting for events of all kinds, year round, on the nature protected island of Haapasaari in Jyväskylä, surrounded by forest and water.
The lakeside saunas and outdoor jacuzzis on the shore of Lake Päijänne, the high quality of the menus and wine selection, and the unique surroundings together ensure every event, private or corporate, is a success. The main building holds three distinct restaurant halls, Kalliosali, Riihi and the Metsä cabinet, which together can host up to 200 guests.
Authentic log barges, built in 1937, offer a unique event venue right on the shore of Lake Päijänne from May to September.
Savutuvan Apaja’s own boat, the M/S Apaja, carries groups across Lake Päijänne on request. The cruise turns the journey itself into an experience: passengers can take in the scenery along the way, or soak up the atmosphere of the midsummer “nightless night” while travelling from Apaja to their hotel. Themed cruises for corporate recreation days can also be arranged on a charter basis.
