Hey, we’re Teatterikone, a small professional theatre with a big heart!
Our facilities are in in Villa Rana, a cultural centre in the centre of Jyväskylä. We offer original plays that draw on local history while living in the present, as well as joyful and friendly event content and solution-centred training.
Every year, we premiere 3-5 plays, at least one of which is aimed at children or young people. Our plays give the viewer the experience of discovering something new and at the end they’ll feel they have gained something through the experience of art that has meaning to them in particular.
In 2023 our theatre celebrated the twentieth anniversary of its founding. We are proud of the work we have done as well as grateful for the support we have received and the meaningful meetings we have had with you all. We hope to be able to do this work for a long time to come. Until we meet again!
