Himos Juhannus
Every year, the best Midsummer event is, of course, in Himos, Jämsä, where you can find music for all tastes. In Himos, you can celebrate Midsummer with Finland’s top artists. Rain or sunshine, Himos Juhannus offers an unforgettable midsummer celebration!

Yläkaupungin Yö
In Jyväskylä, the festival season begins in May with the multidisciplinary and free Yläkaupungin Yö -festival, held annually in the Upper Town, Älylä, and Seminaarinmäki areas of Jyväskylä. In addition to music performances, the city festival program often includes dance, theater, performances, visual arts, workshops, and much more.
Jyväskylä Festival
Jyväskylä Festival is the oldest continuously organized city festival in the Nordic countries. This multi-arts festival is usually held in Jyväskylä at the beginning of July, and the diverse program offers something for everyone! In addition to music, the festival features for example theater, dance, and art exhibitions. Some of the events are free of charge.
Puistojuhlat
Every year in early July, when the Jyväskylä Festival takes over the city, people dance at Puistojuhlat in Lounaispuisto, which is part of a much larger program. Focused on pop, rap, and indie music, at Puistojuhlat you can hear the latest newcomers as well as top Finnish artists.
The event has a separate area with no age restrictions.
Suomipop Festival
Held in mid-July, the Suomipop Festival brings Finland’s most beloved pop artists to the stage in the heart of Jyväskylä. Every year, Lutakko’s event square fills with music lovers from all over the country.

Beach Party
What would summer be without beach parties, i.e. the Keurusselän Beach Party? At the end of July, you can enjoy the sandy beach and lake scenery while dancing to the beat of the hottest bands! Food and drinks are also available in the event area.
Toivakka Chamber Music Festival
The Toivakka Chamber Music Festival in June offers high-quality, accessible concert experiences in the town of Toivakka. The festival consists of pop-up concerts and free events for all ages. The performers have included top Finnish musicians.
John Smith Rock Festival
Fans of rock and heavier music are also spoiled, as Laukaa’s Peurunka is taken over every year by #Finland’sRockiestFestival, the John Smith Rock Festival. The hottest rock bands take over the stage on the shores of Lake Peurunka every year.
