Museum centre for the new generation.
Aalto2 is a unique new meeting place for architecture, design and cultural heritage in Jyväskylä. It combines two buildings designed by Alvar Aalto – the Museum of Central Finland and the Alvar Aalto Museum – creating a connection between the two. The Aalto2 Museum Centre’s exhibitions and programme conduct a dialogue between current phenomena, visions of the future, and layers of history. The new museum shop and online store, along with the cosy café-restaurant, offer a pleasant breathing space, seasonal flavours, and beautiful gift ideas.
Aalto2 opened to the public on May 27, when the new extension was inaugurated and the first joint exhibition “Human Traces – World Heritage”, the permanent exhibitions of the Alvar Aalto Museum and the Museum of Central Finland opened.
We accept the Museum Card.
