Craft Museum of Finland

Located right in the heart of Jyväskylä, the craft museum is easy to get to and the whole family will enjoy it.

The museum has several temporary exhibitions at the same time, showcasing different craft techniques, craftspeople and artisanal craftsmanship. Craft is a broad concept, encompassing both soft and hard materials, traditional techniques and new innovations. Come get inspired!

In the museum’s lecture hall, “A Journey in Time” exhibition has crafts in words and pictures spanning 2000 years. You can also get hands-on with crafts in the museum’s open workshop. In the workshop space on the second floor of the museum, children and adults can try their hand at making their own souvenirs.

The museum shop has products from Finnish craftspeople for big or small needs.

Attention! The museum may contain experiences!

Opening hours: Tue–Sun, 11am–6 pm.
