Trail of just under 3 kilometers goes around the pond area, featuring a campfire site, a viewing platform, and a beach. The trail includes three ponds and is part of the 12-kilometer Runeberg Nature Trail. The route is marked with blue pole markers. Julmat Lammit is a nature reserve where you can see the effects of the ice ages on the rock and soil, as well as the development of landforms.
The Saarijärvi summer bus service runs from June 15 to August 7, 2026, Wednesdays through Fridays, from the downtown bus stop to Julmat lammit nature trail and back. You can conveniently purchase tickets in advance through the Matkahuolto service. Buy tickets at: https://www.matkahuolto.fi/.
