Trail of just under 3 kilometers goes around the pond area, featuring a campfire site, a viewing platform, and a beach. The trail includes three ponds and is part of the 12-kilometer Runeberg Nature Trail. The route is marked with blue pole markers. Julmat Lammit is a nature reserve where you can see the effects of the ice ages on the rock and soil, as well as the development of landforms.
Location and arrival
Parking place and easy access at the main road no. 13. You can reach the Julmat Lammit nature reserve by public transport in summer 2025! The Saarijärvi Summer Line operates on weekdays from June 16 to August 3, departing from the city center bus stop and the Ruustinna yard. The transport departs in the morning according to schedule and returns in the evening. Tickets can be conveniently purchased in advance through Matkahuolto website.
