The Pearl of Lake Päijänne in Säynätsalo, Jyväskylä, invites you to enjoy! Surrounded by beautiful Lake Päijänne, Juurikkasaari is a year-round event venue with versatile and comfortable facilities and professional staff with over 20 years of experience to ensure the success of events and activities. Surrounded by nature and water, Juurikkasaari is only a 20-minute drive from the centre of Jyväskylä. We have plenty of free parking spaces for easy and safe parking. You can reach us by public transport as well as by your own means, for example by bicycle or by boat to our guest marinas.

A delicious lunch buffet is available on weekdays from 11.00-14.30 all year round. During the summer, the Juurikkasaari beach terrace and beach grill serve delicious barbecue dishes, refreshments and café delicacies. At the beach terrace you can hire equipment for various summer activities or book a canoeing lesson in advance. In our beach sauna you can enjoy the best baths with refreshing water both in summer and winter. Our sandy beach is safe for children. We are also a pet friendly place both inside and out. We organise a variety of private and family events throughout the year, and our proximity to nature guarantees a relaxing day of tranquillity. For those interested in architecture, the Alvar Aalto designed Säynätsalo Town Hall is within walking distance.

The party house, beach pavilion and covered terraces can accommodate up to 500 people for meals. For concerts we have our own outdoor stage. We have meeting facilities for 10 to 190 people, from the Sauna Cabinet to the Beach Pavilion.
