Matti Nykänen Mäki observation tower and Mäkikahvio open to the public in connection with the City of Light event Fri-Sat 25-25 September, and Fri-Sat 2-3 October, 6-10 PM. A stunning panoramic view on a darkening autumn evening over Jyväskylä’s sea of light from the heights of Laajavuori!
At the top of Laajavuori, Mäkikahvio offers hot drinks, fresh cinnamon rolls, and cold soft drinks during the opening hours of the observation tower.
The observation tower features two covered viewing platforms and an open space at the top of the hill from which a 360-degree panorama opens up to the surrounding autumn dark urban and natural environment. So even possible rain does not hinder the admiration of the city of lights!
Access by car to the foot of Matti Nykänen Ski Jump during the event! Please drive carefully!
