Culture and Crafting
At the Craft Museum of Finland, there will be Anesama -doll-making workshops for children on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at 2:00 PM, and an adult crafting session on Thursday, February 29, at 4:00 PM. Visitors can also meet the artists from the museum’s Dialogi – Woven and Embroidered Bridge exhibition on Thursday, February 29.
At the Sparvin Museum Shop, located in the cozy Toivola old courtyard, visitors can craft adorable animal figures from recycled and natural materials from February 26 to March 1, 2024. While crafting, you can explore the diverse product selection of the Sparvin Museum Shop. As a Museum Card benefit, all children’s books are 20% off throughout March with Museum card!
Experience the atmosphere of the nearly hundred-year-old Felt Factory J. Alho, located in Jämsä. During the open doors event on Friday, February 23, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and Saturday, February 24, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, visitors can try felting, and purchase items such as felted slippers to warm your toes or souvenirs for the winter holiday.

Thrills and Outdoor Activities
For the adrenaline junkies, Vaajakoski Karting Center is a great way to spend the day. You can also organize races with bowling, with good options available at Revontuli in Hankasalmi, Peurunka in Laukaa, and Hollywood Bowling in Jyväskylä.
Explore the world of skiing at Laajavuori Ski School in Laajavuori, Jyväskylä. At Himos, chosen as the Ski Resort of the Year 2022, children can enjoy the Lumila area: kid-friendly slopes and thrilling toboggan runs.
