Arriving to Jyväskylä from Tampere

By train
Schedules and tickets:
Trains from Tampere to Jyväskylä leave from the Tampere train station. You can easily purchase train tickets and check the schedules on the VR website. Download the VR Matkalla –app (Google Play –store / Apple store) for easy travelling. You can see schedules and purchase tickets via the app. Note that there are no direct connections to Jyväskylä from Tampere-Pirkkala Airport, you will need to take local bus (Nysse) line 103 to Tampere city centre first. See Nysse schedules on the Nysse itinerary search and buy tickets either via the Nysse app (Google Play –store / Apple store) or directly from the bus with contactless pay (please note that you cannot pay by cash in Nysse buses).

The journey from Tampere train station to Jyväskylä takes about 1,5-2,5 hours depending on the chose connection.

You can find the bus schedules and buy tickets on the Matkahuolto website. Note that there are no direct connections to Jyväskylä from Tampere-Pirkkala Airport, you will need to take local bus (Nysse) line 103 to Tampere city centre first.
