The stunning lake scenery of Keitele can be admired from the lookout tower in Äänemäki located a short walking distance from the centre of Äänekoski and about 50 minutes’ drive from the centre of Jyväskylä. The tower offers a stunning view of Keitele and all the way to the centre of Äänekoski.
You can get there on foot or by bike or car. The walking trail follows the slope, and is partly made up of fitness stairs. In the summer, you can reach the lookout tower by following the mountain bike routes. By car, you get there by following the Kovala road.
The first landing of the tower is completely accessible, but assistance is needed to get on the wheelchair ramp. The tower is not maintained in the winter.

The first landing of the tower is completely accessible via a wheelchair ramp. Assistance is needed to get on the ramp, as the beginning of the ramp is several centimeter above the gravel road from which it starts.
