Hyyppäänvuori
Hyyppäänvuori is an impressive natural treasure that rises majestically on the southwestern shore of Lake Lievestuoreenjärvi in Laukaa. Often referred to as the “Koli of the Jyväskylä Region,” Hyyppäänvuori rewards adventurous hikers with breathtaking views of lakes and forests. The summit, shaped by the Ice Age, is adorned with ancient pines, weathered deadwood, and protected old-growth forest. Steep cliffs and hidden caves make this Natura 2000 site a paradise for nature lovers. However, remember to tread carefully to preserve the delicate moss cover. Hyyppäänvuori is accessible via marked trails from nearby country roads.
Hyyppäänvuori is also an excellent destination for local cycling trips from Laukaa, Jyväskylä, or other surrounding municipalities.
