By train to Jyväskylä from elsewhere in Finland
VR’s InterCity trains run directly to Jyväskylä through the popular railway hubs of Tampere and Pieksämäki. You can get from Helsinki to Jyväskylä in less than 3.5 hours and from Tampere in 1.5 hours. If you fly to Helsinki, you can easily get to Jyväskylä by train directly from the airport with one connecting train.
