Äänemäki is a versatile sports centre suitable for year-round physical activity. In winter you can ski or snowboard on the well-maintained slopes. In addition to traditional skiing, there is a snow park with two jumps and a slide. Children under the age of 6 can use the rope lift free of charge when accompanied by a parent and wearing a helmet. The youngest members of the family can sled down the slope on slides. A café and equipment hire are available when the slopes are open. You can walk, snowshoe and hike around Äänemäki on your own. In summer you can explore the area on marked mountain bike trails.
From the Äänemäki lookout tower you can see the beautiful Lake Keitele and the enchanting forests. Äänemäki has illuminated fitness stairs for fitness enthusiasts and nature lovers. At the bottom of the slope you can enjoy a snack at the lean to, which is open all year round.
