  • Smoke sauna at Kinkamon Pirtti

Finns have been warming in a sauna for thousands of years. One of the oldest versions is a smoke sauna which must be heated first for hours with skill before you can enjoy the soft, relaxing warmth. Afterwards, cool down by a lake in the evening sun, when you can only hear birds chirping and waves rippling. Kinkamon Pirtti in Keuruu invites you to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature all year round. In summertime, you can even spend the night in the lap of nature in a Tentsile treehouse, a “floating” tent stretched between the trees.

Other places to see: Hop in your car and drive 10 minutes to the center of Keuruu. Here you can head out in to the open lake on the paddle wheel ship S/S Elias Lönnrot. Pay also a visit to the charming wooden houses of Old Keuruu, the oldest of which date back to the 19th century.
