Beer Lover’s Tour in Jyväskylä

  • Taproom & Bottleshop HIISI

    Perhaps the most famous brewery in the Jyväskylä region is HIISI, whose beer names are partly inspired by Finnish mythology. At HIISI’s Taproom, located in Lutakonaukio, you can enjoy excellent craft beers as well as delicious food, and take home some goodies from the Bottleshop. Upstairs from the Taproom is the legendary concert venue Tanssisali Lutakko

  • Harry’s

    Harry’s is an English-style pub located in the heart of Jyväskylä, at the lower end of Kauppakatu. Harry’s offers an extensive beer selection and an authentic English pub atmosphere. You can also watch sports at Harry’s, and there is live music on weekends. The terrace, which opens onto the pedestrian street, is a popular spot for spending summer evenings.

  • Teerenpeli

    In a bar located on Kauppakatu in Jyväskylä, you can enjoy the tasty products of the Finnish brewery and distillery Teerenpeli. Teerenpeli also offers small pub-style snacks. The terrace along the pedestrian street is a popular spot for spending summer days. Be sure to also try Teerenpeli’s own whiskies and gins.

    Restaurant Pyynikin Brewhouse pampers beer enthusiasts at the lower end of Jyväskylä’s pedestrian street, on the edge of Aren Aukio -square. In addition to beer, the restaurant offers food themed in a local style. Pyynikin Brewhouse’s large terrace opens onto the square and its fountain.

    From the outside, the modest-looking Vihreä Haltiatar (Green Fairy) hides a cozy social restaurant for lovers of good beers and ciders. The frequently changing selection includes nearly a hundred beers and about twenty ciders. It’s worth asking the knowledgeable staff for recommendations and tips.
