A day in Äänekoski is nice to start with a brisk walk in nature. The Kapeenniemi recreational area offers visitors beautiful settings for easy nature hiking, and the area has several lean-tos, campfire, and lookout spots. It’s nice to enjoy the rapids scenery of the area while having a snack.

Äänemäki Lookout Tower
Definitely worth checking out among the natural attractions is the Äänemäki lookout tower, from which magnificent views open up to Keitele. The tower’s scenery can also be enjoyed accessibly with an assistant. In winter, you can also go skiing at Äänemäki.
