Instructions and guidelines for going to an open sauna
-All the saunas along the route offer public sauna sessions either daily, weekly, or monthly. The sessions are scheduled on different days. Check the schedules in advance on the sauna’s website.
-Public sauna sessions are usually mixed-gender, so remember to bring a swimsuit and a towel. In many places, towels can also be rented. It is also recommended to bring a water bottle and sandals for the sauna session.
-The single session fee for a sauna visit is about 10-25 €. Check the sauna fees and schedules on each place’s website.
-Going to the sauna is a relaxing and healthy way to spend time. Sauna bathing is an essential part of Finnish culture, and it offers many health benefits, such as muscle relaxation, improved circulation, and stress relief.
-Typically, one stays in the sauna for 10-20 minutes at a time, and it is good to cool down for a while before starting a new sauna round. Remember to drink enough water to stay well hydrated.
-It is customary to be quiet in the sauna and respect others’ peace, so loud conversations should be left outside the sauna.
